50 Shades of Pink?

By Sarahohm @sarahohm
Good afternoon Beautiful,I’m so sorry… I feel like I’ve been neglecting you all weekend. Really! I’m been crazy busy, and I’ve been thinking about writing all weekend but I just haven’t had the chance to until now. Friday night was the Hot Mess party, Saturday during the day was pretty much a right off because I needed to sleep, Saturday night we went back down to Pride until about 2am and yesterday we went to the Pride parade and had Alyssa and Trevor over afterwards and went to Grace O’Malley’s until 2am again. Holy man… what a weekend!Last night I was really good. I hardly drank, and it was kind of interesting to see how everyone else got so hammered but I was totally fine! It was SO nice actually! I didn’t wake up foggy… I felt good. Last night while we were at Gracies, I received an email from a name I had never heard of, with the subject “Sweat Pink Ambassador”. AHH! Last week I applied to become a Sweat Pink Ambassador and I received news last night that I got picked! I applied to be an Ambassador with Fit Approach (you can be taken to their website by clicking this!) because I loved their Mission Statement…We believe that kicking ass is best done in pretty shoes. We’ve learned that real women sweat, and sweat hard. We know that assertiveness, strength, and ambition are the ultimate feminine qualities. We concede that sometimes it takes hours to get ready, but we’re also no strangers to just rolling out of bed and going. We’re convinced that we run faster in pink shoelaces. We believe in pushing ourselves, and we believe in giving ourselves a break, too. We’re all about the rush of endorphins and the thrill of the challenge. We’re all for looking great and feeling even better. We’re committed to finding our best fit, and making it stick. How do we get there? We climb. We journey. We balance. We reward.50 Shades of Pink?
Isn’t that great? I needed to be in contact with this company as soon as I read that. Admittedly I’ve seen some people through the Twitter-verse with “#SweatPink Ambassador” in their bio, and always wondered what it was. I finally checked it out, and now I’m glad to announce that I’ve joined the community and I, too, am now a SweatPink Ambassador. I will be receiving some goodies in the mail soon so expect some Giveaways on this blog! My headshot and bio will be on the Fit Approach website in the next week, so I’ll let you know and post the direct link! Another fun thing for this blog that has just launched is my new Facebook page, Keep Calm & Carry On. Please click on the below picture to be taken to the page directly!50 Shades of Pink?
If you read this blog and you enjoy it, please “like” my Facebook page. It really does connect me to my readers on a more personal level, and I love meeting and connecting new people. I’ll be updating my Facebook page whenever I update my blog. I will be posting any pictures I take of meals I make and provide you all with the recipe, in case you want to try any of my fantastic eats! I will also now be updating my blog with fun SweatPink info, workouts, goals, and fun pictures! Now, to get away from the “business”, I started reading 50 Shades of Grey this weekend. I’ve obviously heard a ton about this book because everyone and their cousin has already read it, but I was in the middle of a couple other books that I wanted to finish before starting 50 Shades of Grey (that’s one of my personal rules, never start one book until you finish the one you’re reading. I’ve had to make my way through some very painful reads because of this rule.). I’m literally only starting Chapter 6, and I’m already hooked. Christian Grey may be the most intriguing man I’ve ever met.. err.. read about, in my life. HE’S NOT EVEN REAL! I’ve wanted to hibernate all weekend and just read this darn book, obviously I didn’t, but I did want to. How many of you out there have read this? I know a couple people who refuse to read it for different reasons, which I think is silly (sorry Alyssa) because it’s a good book. BUT it does not coincide with her principles, and I will respect that and so we don’t discuss the book when she’s around. So I have my goals on my computer screens… see!50 Shades of Pink? And I look at them whenever I’m on my computer. And the one I’ve really been focusing on is not eating take-out food because well, it’s the only real feasible one at this moment because it’s been the weekend. I told you about how the universe was helping me on Friday by not having McDonalds selling dinner food, so I didn’t eat out. Well last night it helped me out again. We walked past countless hot dog vendors after Gracies, and I wanted to wait and go to Subway to get a turkey salad (one of my fav things from Subway). Well after Subway there are NO places to stop for food on the walk back to our condo, so this was taking a chance. Well, surprise! Last night was Sunday and no food places were open at 2am. I got home and ate a Lara bar instead. Go me! As part of my new found Sweat Pink Ambassador-ship (?) I’m trying to get some girls in my office to sign up for TRX Training with me. I think it’s going to start next week, and it’s twice a week for an hour for 6 weeks for less than $200. I think it’s such a good deal especially since TRX is basically like small group training. I know I can probably convince one of the girls I work with to do it with me, but I’m having a hard time getting anyone else to do it. I’m hoping that I can inspire/encourage/convince them this week to give it a try and see how they feel. I think it would be a really good program for them because it’s at lunch, so it doesn’t take any extra time out of their day!
Regardless, I will be participating in the next TRX sessions! I can’t wait to get my SweatPink tank top so I can wear it and take some pictures during TRX!
Tell me about your weekend! Did you attend Pride in Toronto? What did you do for Canada Day? Stay sweet.
xoxo
PS - Tomorrow's workout is going to be INTENSE... just wait for it! I've also committed to going for a run through the streets of Toronto twice this week... BOOM!
