A year ago today your eyes met mine for the first time. It was Friday the 13th, it was the beginning of Summer, I just signed off on a very emotional week – honestly, what did I have to lose?
Turns out, it was the best thing I ever did. YOU were the best decision I ever made and the best person I have ever met. Not only were you handsome, but you were funny, interesting, full of infinite knowledge (you know a lot of everything) and never once did you come across as cocky. You weren’t full of yourself, you didn’t even realize how attractive you were and your intentions were good.
I didn’t know what hit when I fell in love with you. My heart was in my throat for weeks before I could even utter those three little words to you. Falling in love scared me to death and when I finally said it to you, by some divine miracle, you said you love me too.
You’ve been an amazing boyfriend for 365 already, I can only imagine you’ll only get better with age. Your boundless love is something I have never experienced before and it’s definitely something I’m going to hold to for as long as I can.
I can’t thank you enough for being mine. For taking me overseas for my birthday and telling me – daily – that I’m the best person you’ve ever met. For all the compliments you dish out, for all the cute pet names you give me, for relentless flirting with me, for telling me you love several time a day and understand all of my random Simpsons quotes. Thank you for loving our girls, LC and Andre (especially, Andre) and spoiling them rotten everyday. Thank you for making a beautiful home with me, that is full of laughter, happiness and love. I absolutely LOVE my life with you and I would never trade it for anything!
You are one amazing man, the best boyfriend EVER, my best friend, a keeper and the greatest gift the Universe ever delivered to me. Thank you for the twelve months, it truly has been the greatest year of my life and it’s all thanks to you!
