My proudest moment happened on October 22, 2015. It was my university graduation!
When I first entered university, I was pretty sure that I wanted to take up dental hygiene, but after taking Chemistry in University 1, I told myself that, “Okay, that’s it. I’m switching majors.” I didn’t bother retaking it because I knew to myself that Chem wasn’t my best friend ever since high school. I was supposed to graduate last May but something came up so it was delayed, but it was okay. I’m done now.
The convocation took 3 hours long because there’s only 2 convocations during the Fall and most of it were compressed on the second day. I didn’t know anyone in that batch since most of my friends graduated during the Spring convocations, but it was okay because I met two new people that day. We helped each other get through those 3 long hours. haha! Another reason why I was so proud of myself was because I had a lot of big blisters on the soles of my feet from being on my feet all day at work the day before, so I couldn’t walk properly at all. The bandaids on my feet didn’t really help that much, so after the convocation, I put on my slippers right away. I bought this heels last July for grad but I ended up not wearing it, so I just wore sandals with an ankle strap and a tiny wedge. I’m already short and I even felt shorter because the two ladies in front and behind me in line were both wearing 5 inch heels. HAHA! But anyway, it really felt good after going up on stage and getting my diploma!
