3 Moves to reduce pain in the heels

All of us suffer from heel pain at some point or the other. The most common reason behind heel pains is usually plantar fasciitis that is a condition that involves inflammation and pain along the fibrous band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot.

Heel pain is torture for the sufferer as he or she suffers from excruciating pain while walking that makes them pull their feet up in pain.

3 Moves to reduce pain in the heels

Here are 3 moves that will reduce your heel pain and make it heal faster:

  • Morning wall stretch

Stand barefoot in front of a wall with your feet wide apart. Place your hands on the wall and press, leaning forward, feeling the stretch along the back of the left leg and heel.

Hold for 30 seconds. Switch sides and repeat.

  • Freeze roll

Freeze a small water bottle. Cover it with a cloth and place it on the arch of your feet. Roll the bottle under the arch from one end to the other.

  • Foot rub

Another simple way to get rid of heel pain is to rub it out. Use both thumbs and apply pressure on the arch of the feet, heel and calf muscles. Move slowly while applying pressure evenly. Continue for a minute or two and switch feet.

These methods have proven to be effective and have been suggested by podiatrist as well.

But it your heel pain doesn’t seem to disappear or becomes worse after even two weeks of these moves then you can visit the podiatrist or orthopedist for other treatment.
