21 & Over (2013) Review
Just when I was hoping to see a good comedy film, which was something missing in 2013, the American comedy, 21 & Over landed in theaters earlier this year, scoring over $41 million over the globe. The movie received mixed reaction from the crowd, even though it was very entertaining.
The American Pie-like story of 21 & Over goes around the main characters of the film Jeff (Justin Chon), Casey (Skylar Astin) and Miller (Miles Teller), three best friends who gets together after a long time to celebrate Jeff's 21st birthday. With a big interview due in the morning for Jeff, these three guys goes from bar to bar, drinking all night long celebrating Jeff's new ability to legally drink alcohol. Things get a little bit complicated when Jeff passes out, leaving Casey and Miller to take him home safely. Only problem is that they don't know where Jeff lives.

The fact that these guy don't remember the place where Jeff lives, even though they were out there earlier makes the story of this film a bit stupid because the rest of the movie entirely depend on that main detail. But, I got passed that after these guys break into a sorority to spank some naughty sorority girls. Later on, these girls turns out to be from some sort of a freaky Latina cult and they hunts these guys down to take revenge. But that's only a minor detail compared to what happen to these guys throughout the film.
There's not much nudity in this show, except for few scenes of boobs and of male butts and kissing. Although, these guys do swear a lot and do whatever the heck they can to take Jeff home safe.
21 & Over (2013) Review
The way too old for teen movies critics at Rotten Tomatoes says this movie is a Hangover ripoff and constantly compares it with the characters in the Hangover. Well, yes the film was made by the writers of the Hangover but the story in this film is very different. Don't mind those critics. They're just too old for this stuff and don't know how to have a laugh or two without being too serious about a movie.
I give this movie 3 out of 5 stars because it's fun and I did laugh a lot watching it. Had to remove two stars because the story was not very believable and I believe the actors would have done a better job. Overall the movie was really great and you should definitely watch it if you enjoy movies like American Pie.
