Time to tie-up some loose ends of 2016 with a Beauty Favorites Post. I did a 2015 Beauty Favorites post at the beginning of last year which was quite a hit, so I thought I would continue this newly found tradition. Many of you might notice that I do not have a lot of items compared to last year which is because I did not want to mention anything from last year's beauty favorites.

BASE

All of you already know how much I hate primers, but I was quite pleased with the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. It has a smooth, velvet texture and it does a good job of controlling oil on my t-zone. It is great for oil, but I have drier skin, so my skin look parched after a long day of foundation-wear. This year's foundation was all about the Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation (#220). I never go for drugstore foundation because I need to test the color in order to get a good match (220 is a bit too light for me, lol), however, the finish of this foundation is beautiful. It has a nice satin finish and makes your skin look healthy and dewy. Concealer this year has to go to the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. I bought this last year but started using it more this year. Phenomenal concealer when it comes to highlighting and concealing the under eyes. It is very similar to its foundation counterpart: The Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in texture, scent, and weight.

FACE

The only face products I have been using religiously this year are the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit and The Jaclyn Hill x Becca Face Palette (LE). Both of these palettes come with everything you need to elevate your makeup game from bronzer, blush, and highlight. The J.H x Becca palette does not come with a 'bronzer' but Amaretto is a nice brown with a pink undertone, which can be used as both a bronzer and blush. However, too much can look too pink than brown.

EYES

For eyes, it was really simple. Other than the UD Naked Palette (there is a lot of UD Naked products in this post), I loved the Colourpop x Jenn Im Collaboration, Jenn Ne Sais Quoi, Super Shock Shadow Quad. The colors were beautiful, can be used every day, and have a nice variety of warm tones. Next are the glorious Ardell Demi-Wispies Lashes. The most natural, yet glamorous pair of lashes I could ever want. Something I will be repurchasing because of the quality and the reasonable price tag.

LIPS

Lips this past year has been all about natural colors. Everyone knows my obsession with MAC's Velvet Teddy, but the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Chihuahua has a special place in my heart because of its subtle color. Natural, but not-so-natural, is the Magic 2 Tone Lipstick from Profusion. This is a henna lipstick that happens to be half white and half blue. However, don't let that scare you because once applied, it transforms into a pretty pink that complements your skin color.

TOOLS

The only tool I have is the Bare Minerals Blooming Blush Brush. It is an angled blush brush that feels as if you are brushing your cheeks with clouds, that is how soft it is.
Well, that is it...*awkward silence* I decided not to include skincare because my skin has been on a roller coaster this year. Anyways, please comment below what your 2016 beauty favorites are, and if you are fellow blogger, link your 2016 favorites posts below!
Happy Friday ^_^
