2012 – a Year in Pictures

By Lindsayleighbentley @lindsayLbentley

2012 proved to be the best of my life so far.

It also happened to be packed with changes…mostly good.

Early in the year, I was in my 30th week of pregnancy with Miles when I was placed on total bed-rest.

Which meant that my mother moved in with us for nearly 8 weeks while Hank was on tour.

Thankfully, she is one of my best friends, so it was a treat to have her with us.

Then, our sweet Miles was born.  Naturally.  Full-term.  Healthy.  Perfect.

Six weeks later, Hank and Henry were the Best Man and Ring Bearer in our friend’s wedding.

The next day we moved across the country.

Then, the lowlight of the year: our precious pup died suddenly and unexpectedly.  We will always miss our sweet Ollie.

We soon added Linus to the family.  He has helped our hearts to heal.

Hank’s brother arrived safely home after a long deployment in Afghanistan and got to meet Miles for the first time.

We finished the year with a lovely Thanksgiving and beautiful Christmas with family.

We also received the most amazing, unexpected, and generous gifts at the very end of the year… just when they were needed the most.

More on that HERE.

Looking back on 2012 gives me so much hope and excitement for 2013.  Every year seems to be better than the last…I can’t wait to see what is in store for our family.

I hope that yours is wonderful too.

Happy New Year Friends!
