17 Peep Show Mascara with free eye shadow palette
I purchased this mascara back in January when it was on offer in Boots for £5.29 and came with a free eye shadow palette. This shows the power of good marketing as I bought this thinking I was getting an amazing deal, even though I don't even wear eye shadow often and true to form have never even used the palette that came free with it. Therefore I'm not going to review the palette, I'm just going to focus on the mascara.

I have used this mascara everyday since I purchased it in early January and it is only just running out, which to me is good value for money. I think that the main market for this mascara is as a good, every day mascara. It is easy to apply making it perfect for the morning routine. The brush is the perfect size in my opinion. It is a medium-sized brush that makes application both quick and easy and allows you to get to the corner of the eyes, meaning you can catch even your smallest lashes. The formula is neither too wet nor dry and it allows you to build length without it ending up all over the top of the eye or smearing on your glasses.
It provides good length but doesn't create high impact lashes
17 Peep Show mascara claims to have a 'fibre rich formulation which lengthens lashes from root to tip.' I think that these claims are true. This mascara definitely lengthens well, is buildable and doesn't clump. Obviously, like all mascaras if you apply loads there will be some clumps but you don't need to apply loads to get the lengthening effect. This mascara doesn't claim to be a false lash effect mascara, which is good because it isn't. It definitely adds length but lacks in the volume stakes. The Verdict: If you're looking for false lash, high-impact lashes this probably isn't the product for you. However, if you're looking for a good, affordable lengthening mascara that is perfect for everyday wear give this a a try!
