Zatchels Factory Shop Opening Event

Last week on Friday, I was invited to visit the Zatchels factory to celebrate the opening of their new factory store which is based in Leicester (which happens to be the place I live in too). We were given the opportunity to meet the Zatchels directors as well as their creative director. We were then given a tour of the factory where each bag is hand made to order, by their very skilled employees. For me it was really inspiring to see how these bags were being created and just how much effort goes into a single Zatchel. Another thing that I loved was that every Zatchel is made in this factory. Every bag is manufactured individually. As soon as we were taken into the factory there was an array of leather types. So many different textures and colours. It was quite inspiring to see the step by step process of the making of the bags too. When a bag is finished it is then sent to the quality control section where each bag is checked. This is where the factory shop comes in. If a bag does not make it through it is then sent to the factory shop. There are 3 grades - A-B-C.
A - PerfectB - Slight Imperfections - 30% offC - Stitching imperfection or any scratches - 40% offI had a look to see if you could actually see any of these but these are hardly noticeable! 
The factory shop is situated at 10 Charter Street which is about 10 mins away from the city center. I know I'll be going as I have spotted a bag (or two) that I am in love with! One of the new designs that will be out soon. In love with this one! When we arrived at the factory shop, we were welcomed with some yummy cupcakes, strawberries and cream and lemonade! I had a browse around the shop where I really couldn't notice any faults in the bags. They have a great variety in the shop too so I am sure you'll find something as well as a bargain. I really adore the bright coloured ones like the green and blue but the neon bags really caught my eye too! I had such a lovely time at the Zatchels event talking the lovely team as well as other bloggers!
