Everyone has dreams, some dream more than others. The biggest dreamers are often seen as out of this world but they’re not. There just more in touch with emotions and reaching for the stars. Today’s song talks about nostalgic dreams – when two people were once in love and happy. Now they are living separate lives but the man sometimes thinks about her.
Your Wildest Dreams was released as a single in April of 1986 from the band’s twelfth album, The Other Side of Life. It was written by lead guitarist, Justin Hayward. The single was very successful in the US going to #1 on Adult Contemporary, #2 on Mainstream Rock Tracks, and #9 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
In 1988, a sequel was made, “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere,” and released on their 14th album, Sur la Mer. Listen to it HERE.
