Your Baby Movements

The First Flutters

Every pregnancy is different and but you should expect feel your baby move for the first time, at around 16 – 20 weeks, It is a wonderful experience and reminder that your baby is really there and growing healthily.But please remember,all pregnancies are slightly different if you are worried contact your Midwife who will happily listen to babies heartbeat.

 

Further Baby Movements

 

Between 24 to 28 weeks – Around this time it is not unusual to feel your baby hiccup and while sudden loud noises won’t do them any harm, they might make them move around a little more.

Around 29 weeks approx -It will suddenly starts getting a lot more cramped inside the womb so any movements baby will make,even the smallest one may feel alot  stronger.

Around 32 weeks approx – Baby will more likely become even more active before starting to get into their position hopefully head down at around 36 weeks.Space will be tighter and baby will have become a lot stronger, this is when you might find baby movements very uncomfortable during this time.

36 to 40 weeks -It is normal to experience a lot less kicking towards the end, so don’t worry if movements slow down.It’s still important that you feel your baby move.10 movements in any 24-hour period is considered the norm.
