Yelp: The Best Place To Read Legit Animal Hospital Reviews, Based On Our Interpretation Of Tuesday’s Court Ruling

By Nottheworstnews @NotTheWorstNews

The NY Times reports that a Federal Appeals Court has ruled that it is legal for Yelp to lower a company’s rating if it does not advertise on Yelp. Yelp denies that it does this kind of thing… but it looks like it can going forward, so thanks Court!

From the article:

One of the businesses that sued, an animal hospital in California, claimed a Yelp representative said the company would hide negative reviews or place them lower on the page in exchange for advertising.”

3 Reviews We’d Like To Write On Yelp Related To This Federal Appeals Court Decision

1.  “The Federal Appeals Court has wonderful ambiance. And if your date there is going poorly, you don’t even have to bother talking to your date, because a judge will tell you to “keep it down” like you’re in a Hollywood movie! Sure, some customers may have to spend hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars in legal fees to get there, so it can be a bit pricey. But it is always worth it. And we’re not saying this because the Federal Appeals Court advertises on Yelp.*****”

2. “I find Yelp’s customer service to be awesome. That incident where we spayed a male dog by removing one of its kidneys was all but forgotten after we bought a small ad… after losing in Court. P.S. I must admit I am impressed that I can review Yelp on Yelp. I’m sure that my sarcastic review will end up with all the other reviews and not buried. *****”

3. “I’m a dog who can type with only one kidney. How did my Yelp review suddenly get rated so low? Did I mention I’m a dog who can type? Shouldn’t that be the first review you see for an animal hospital?*”
