Earlier this year in January, when Erick first laid eyes on Yasmin at a party in her home country of Australia, he told her that by the end of the night, he would be giving her a kiss. Yasmin just laughed it off until, Erick kept his promise and gave her a memorable kiss that she couldn’t forget. Unfortunately, Erick’s travels took him back home until he talked Yasmin to come visit him in Miami. Six days after they met, Erick asked Yasmin to marry her. She said yes, and they started planning a gorgeous wedding at the historic Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, FL. When we first met Yasmin & Erick, as Erick told us the story of how they met and their quick engagement, he concluded the story by smiling and simply saying, “We’re very much in love.” And you could see that throughout the whole wedding day with their giddy giggles as they held each other close. Our favorite part of the day was when Yasmin walked down the aisle with her dad, and soon as she was given away, before the ceremony started, she broke the rules and grabbed Eric’s face and planted a big kiss on him. And she did it about 5 more times throughout the ceremony before the final “You may now kiss your bride.” It was unconventional, but then again, that’s the beauty of Yasmin and Erick’s love.
We loved working with Thierry’s Catering & Event Design who put on this fabulous and memorable event complete with fireworks, celebrity guest singers, dry ice martinis, and so much more. And a special thanks to our friends Tim King & Shain Petty who we flew in to assist us in documenting this gorgeous wedding day.
