Get Creative and Have Fun

Nobody wants to have to make their way through paragraph upon paragraph of review, so keep things short and sweet. A couple hundred words should be just fine. Get to the point without much rambling. Use Powerful Words
Powerful words are just that; powerful. Powerful words will help to paint a picture in the reader’s head. However, you shouldn’t focus too much on using big words too much. You’re trying to be informative, not pretentious.

You shouldn’t assume your reader is stupid or that they know nothing about music. They probably do know a bit already, as they searched for the review. You don’t have to explain every little detail.

Don’t Talk About Your Love for the Artist
Talking about your love for an artist will only make you look biased, and nobody wants to read a biased review. They want honest reviews, regardless of your feelings towards the artist.

Finally, make sure your review is original. Sure, you can check out reviews for inspo, but leave it there. Copying is not cool, and it can be considered illegal too. If you want to become known as an authority in the music industry, you must focus on being original and unique as well as helpful.
