Happy World Radio Day
Good Morningggg Cityyyyyyy… that how we are greeted every morning!I never knew until now that there is a day marked as World Radio Day. While driving back home the radio was on and there the lady said something I never heard of in decades. Today as we celebrate World Radio Day… and it was followed by some of the names that made radio what it is today.
When we were kids radio was certainly a part of our life and we enjoyed it a lot. Be it late night stories or songs everyone at home had their share of favorites. Now it’s our driving pal. We shuffle channels and mostly stick to our favorites while driving. Be it traffic jams or the rush around, it’s the radio that makes us smile with ridiculous jokes and lovely songs that makes us forget the stress around.
There are so many people in suburbs who work while listening to radio. Be it workers at farmhouse or office cab drivers, radio has certainly touched many lives and it continues to do so.
How does the new generation relates to radio? Is it loosing its shine as other electronic gadgets takes precedence in their life or is it just that life is getting busier with time and there is hardly any time left for them to lay back and connect with this friendly device.
What do you feel? Do you think radio is going to have a slow death to technological advancements or it’s going to survive this crisis and stay long after?
