World Book Night 2012 Recap

Posted on the 24 April 2012 by Mswicegood @MeganSwicegood
I'm lucky enough to live in Austin, TX which is home to not only an awesome indie bookstore, Book People, but also home to some truly amazing book bloggers. Last night I was lucky enough to tag along with four lovely ladies (Jen @ I Read Banned Books, Magan @ Rather Be Reading, Stephanie @ Stephanie, A History, and Jen @ Novel Thoughts) as we handed out hundreds of books to teens, middle-graders, and more than a few very surprised adults.
World Book Night 2012 Recap
We ran all over town stopping at few non-profits aimed at youth, as well as, hitting up some park goers who were just out enjoying the Austin weather. Towards the end of the night things got a little silly. We ran across three lonely looking "men" and decided a good book was all they really needed.

I had such an awesome time with these ladies handing out books to unsuspecting Austonians. If you didn't get a chance to participate this year, make sure you check it out next year. It's truly an awesome experience.
Check out Jen's post on World Book Night for info on what books we were handing out and to give props to her and Stephanie for all their hard work setting up our little group. World Book Night 2012 Recap
