Won’t Go Abroad Without Proving Innocence: Musharraf

Pervez MusharrafDismissing the speculations about leaving the country, former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf has said that he won’t go abroad without proving his innocence in courts.

While speaking to his lawyer Salman Safdar at his sub-jail declared farmhouse, the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief said he himself has returned Pakistan and won’t leave the country until he proves himself innocent.

The name of former military ruler, who returned to country last month ending his four-and-half year self-imposed exile to partake in the forthcoming general elections, had been placed in Exit Control List (ECL) upon the directives of Sindh High Court (SHC).

The speculations about Pervez Musharraf’s probable departure from the country were spinning across the country during the last several days and the media hype further escalated on Tuesday when his lawyers told Supreme Court that former president is to willing to fly out for Dubai to enquire the health of his 95-year-old mother who is seriously ill.
