The operating system Windows Phone 8 - coming soon - is likely to support USB mass storage feature for easier file monitoring without having to use a Zune. This report comes from the media WPDang. The rumor sounds very realistic as the Windows Phone 8 external will support memory cards, so the phone will detect the microSD card as a drive attached to the PC. By that logic, with microSD memory card, drag and drop action to file the transaction is likely to occur with a USB connection. The plug and play course will provide an alternative to the use of the Zune desktop software as the only intermediary that connects the PC to the phone. source
