Why We Love Rocking Chairs?

I think we can all agree on this - a rocking motion immediately comforts our mind and body. A few moments on a rocking chair are both pleasing and rejuvenating. To a mother, singing a lullaby on a rocking chair is a cherished memory that can never be erased. Similarly, to the elderly, rocking is the most relaxing passing time. These feel so different from recliners and sofa's.. one has to experience this sensation - I bet we have all somewhere!
