I had the delightful pleasure of spending weekend before last in Playa del Carmen on a super sweet beach getaway. It was pretty much everything you want in a winter beach trip… departure right on time beating a pending snowstorm in the Northeast, hotel room 100 feet from the foot of the ocean and a pretty little pool barely off the foot of the bed for our own personal entertainment… combine all of that with a cute traveling companion and you’ve got yourself a Super Sweet Beach Getaway!

The most surprising thing about the trip was what happened to my curls! I was so thankful I bit the bullet and carried my oh so large blow dryer and diffuser because it came in handy… Ok, I only used it once but it was necessary that evening!
The sunrise was amazing!
It took me a minute to get used to the short curls. I was surprised by how much curlier and shorter my hair was! The weather in Mexico was perfect for my curls to really truly find themselves and all of their springiness… even if it took a little adjustment.

Back in New York and the curls are still springy just not nearly as tight… now to continue with the practice of Patience in growing a really large poof of curls!
Before Mexico, In Mexico and After Mexico… Vacay and tanning is certainly the answer!
