{Whim of the South Mini Moments}

I feel like every week of summer keeps getting better and better! This week was kicked off with a day in Georgetown with one of my fabulous blogger friends at Drybar and gallivanting around Georgetown doing all kinds of fun things. The rest of the week was spent at home with my family recovering from who knows what! All in all it was a great week. I got to write a little bit more of the book I'm working on, stay at an adorable boutique hotel, experience some honest to goodness southern food in Orange, VA, and spend some quality time with my family. It meant a lot knowing that I was just able to be with them for a few days before the summer really jump starts this week with a trip to Virginia beach and a trip to see one my best friends in North Carolina for the Luke Bryan concert (no Luke Bryan...you shake it for me) yes I went there. I even plan on rocking a pair of high waisted shorts so that's a thing...I found out that I'm actually in love with them and it's something I never thought I would say, but there it is. And of course my monogrammed tortoise sunnies came in just in time for the weekend! They're totally adorable and I found them for $20 on Etsy! Have a fantastic memorial day weekend y'all! xoBCC
