You may be wondering, "Where's the Juice"? So, let me just address that. I have done an amazing job of eliminating things that were addictive/harmful from my diet over the past month or so. To recap, I am eating NO: *fast food *processed food *wheat or *grains of any kind(except rice) NO *sugar *dairy(occasional feta, eggs)
I am also drinking a green smoothie each day for breakfast, and drinking greens throughout the day. I do not photograph everything I eat without fail.
Here's the deal: I was inspired to juice for two reasons, 1)Because everyone says the energy you get, and healing you experience is amazing(good reason!) 2)Because people lose A TON of weight FAST.(not so good reason) You see, #2 was the true motivator - and it was also why I was most hesitant to juice. I am cautious of triggering my binge eating by feeling deprived, and that being said, it's not realistic to maintain that way of eating over a lifetime.
For now - I feel really good about these changes, and I am working up towards more juicing(not just smoothies). I am setting myself up for success. To go from how I was eating, to juicing 2 meals a day is just not what I want to put my mind/body through. The more I can eat like I am currently, the easier it will be to transition to a period of juicing. Either way, I am committed to sharing my experience with you, and felt I needed to clarify why you aren't seeing a "juice feast" which I originally stated.
