When the Lights Go Down in Toronto – Chad Brownlee, Jess Moskaluke and Bobby Wills

Tuesday afternoon the " When the Lights Go Down" tour rolled into Toronto with Chad Brownlee, Jess Moskaluke and Bobby Wills ready to show the big city, a little country. I was so happy I'd book the day off to cover the show at The Mod Club. St. Patrick's Day and When the Lights Go Down tour, yes please!

I arrived just after 3:00PM to take in the shinny game with the contest winners from KX94.7. Watch this space for an upcoming post covering the hockey game, sound check, the VIP Meet and Greet and more.

Toronto marks the almost halfway point for the tour (date 11 of 26) which kicked off March 4th in Summerside, PEI. They've added a few dates to the tour which takes them across the country, finishing up in Nanaimo, BC on April 4th. If you get a chance, you shouldn't miss this show! Check out the tour page for dates and details including VIP access for only $50.

Bobby got things started for us just after 8:00. He played all of my favourites including Crazy Enough and Show Some Respect.

I loved the way they transitioned from one act to the next and I'm sending huge props out to the band who played the entire night. Jess joined Bobby on the stage for "Used" and then Jess took control!

Now I know from earlier in the day that Jess was not feeling 100%. She's human and we all know how rough this winter has been. Let me say, you'd never know it. She gave 100% every single second! So many great songs including "Good Lovin", "Night We Won't Forget", a great blend of "Fake ID" and Megan Trainor's "Lips Are Moving". She finished up with Cheap Wine and Cigarettes.

I love the way Jess banters with the crowd, "I'm wearing two green things so you can't pinch me, is that still a thing?" She had an adorable green bow in her hair but I'm not sure what item number two was.

With a quick break the band was back on stage and we were treated to a great play by play intro by Jim Hughson, reminding us, that man still has hockey in his blood.

Now let me warn you, Chad is one seriously handsome guy. I may have hashtagged a teaser photo today with #howdoesanyonesaynotohim.

Talented, handsome, nice and generous. A very dangerous combination.

While I didn't get a great shot of the Sherwood Guitar, Chad has been playing the guitar throughout and at the end of the tour, the highest bidder gets to take that guitar home. It's a sweet combination of guitar and hockey. Check out the details in the video below. All proceeds go to Tim Hortons Children's Foundation.

If you're thinking about adding VIP upgrade to your ticket, do it! Chat one on one with the artists, listen to sound check which includes some songs you won't hear anywhere else, get your photo taken, there's a shirt, a Sherwood mini hockey stick and more!
