How to Make a Moss and Glass Glitter Banner
On Monday I gave you a mini tour of my house with some of my Easter decorations. One of the things that I made for this Easter season was a Moss and German Glass Glitter Easter banner.
I wanted to share with you how you can make a banner for your home. You won’t even have to get one done for Easter, because I will show you a few other banners I made that might inspire you. You’ll love these Moss and Glass Glitter Banners in your home for lots of occasions.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
A roll of sheet moss
90 grit German Glass Glitter purchased from Meyer Imports Purchase at least 4 oz. for this project.
Modge Podge or Craft Glue
Hot Glue Gun
Here’s How You Do It:
Start by unrolling your sheet moss mat and cut out triangles.
Once you have your triangles cut, flip your sheet moss over. It is connected by a mesh fabric on the back that you will need to cut a hole in to string your triangles together.
Just a small slit will do. Don’t make the hole too big, you don’t want to rip the mesh on accident. Then you can string your triangles together using your hemp twine.
Next, you will need to glitter your letters. I used Modge Podge and a foam brush to apply the glue.
Using a box or container shake some of the glitter over the letter. By using a box you can reuse any of the glitter that doesn’t stick. You only need to do one side of the letters since the back side will be against the moss.
A little hot glue will attach the letters to the moss securely.
And that’s it! You have a really cute banner for Easter.
But wait! Remember how I said you could use these banners for lots of occasions, not just Easter? I made a few more to show you.
Or how about a Spring banner? Oh heck, while you are making banners you might as well do all the seasons!
And this might be my personal favorite. Just a little reminder to……
