WHAT I PACKED FOR BALI: Toiletries

I'm guessing this is what you've all been waiting for... What was in my toiletries bag.

One thing I will say before I go ahead with this post is that I - DID - overpack. I did. Some of this stuff wasn't even used but I thought it was better off bringing it along that not having it at all.

With regards to makeup, I didn't bring a lot of it and I wanted to avoid packing department store . Just the essentials: waterproof eyeliner pencil, mascara, one eyeshadow palette, waterproof brow pencil, a lip liner, one small set of makeup brushes (I took the EcoTools Essential Eye Set, which you can buy from Priceline) and lipcolour (which I didn't decide on til the day before we left). That was it. I didn't want to wear too much makeup but I did want to look a little polished. Joe and I didn't stay in backpacker hostels, we stayed in a resort which was designed for couples. (PS. There will be a post of our travels coming soon!)

Take a look at what I brought with me...

WHAT I PACKED FOR BALI: Toiletries

Eye of Horus Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil in 'Black', $30.00
Like the lip colour, I decided to bring this pencil because it's one of the best I've ever used ( I did a product review on it a couple of years ago!) I just can't fault this eyeliner. I love a good cat wing but whilst travelling you don't want to spend too much time doing makeup. With this eyeliner, I just drew a rough cat eye and then just smudged it into the shape I wanted. Really simple, no fuss. And this eyeliner does NOT move. At all. Even when I lightly rub my eye or apply to the waterline it doesn't smudge or go anywhere. Whilst it IS pretty expensive for an eyeliner, this will last you FOREVER!
Available from the Eye of Horus website.

Antipodes Joyous Protein Night Replenish Serum (10mL)
Along with the Nourishing Night Cream and just LOVED this serum. I used this around the eye area and areas I tend to get a little more dry (around the apples of my cheeks). It worked wonders on my skin and didn't break me out either. (If you do have break out prone skin, just mix the oil with moistiser).

Lonvitalite C4 Coconut Milk Hydrating & Nourishing Facial Mask, $9.95 (single pack)
I bought two of these but only packed one for after the flight (the other for when we got back). My skin gets really dry on planes so I thought it would be good to bring one use when we got to our resort.
I loved how milky this product was and how quickly it re-hydrated my face. Really great when you've been on the go and on your feet all day and ready to unwind.
Available in packs of 5 ($36.00) or singles from the Lonvitalite website.

Toothbrush, with brush cover, $2.61 (pack of 3)
Of course, you can't forget your toothbrush. I have one I use strictly for traveling and have the brush cover on it just to keep it free from germs. I bought the covers from Priceline. Very handy and they have a suction cap to stick up on the mirror, away from the basin.

Swisspers Cotton Rounds, $1.99 (pack of 20)
Like the Swisspers Cotton Tips, I use these daily. I used this to remove my makeup.

Face Of Australia Pure Skin Cleansing Oil, $13.95 (125mL)
I thought I'd give this a try whilst I was overseas. I use the Dr LeWinn's 4 Fusion Cleansing Oil, $29.99 (200mL) but I didn't want to pack it because it was just a little too big.
I'm still a little mixed on how I feel about it. It works and works extremely well, it doesn't smell bad and is as cheap as chips, but I think I'm trying not to like it as much the Dr LeWinn's cleansing oil.
Available from Priceline.

Lush's Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb, $6.75 (each)
I brought two of these for the bath at our resort. I LOVE baths, but unfortunately I don't have one at home. These have a few rose petals in them which is ultimate relaxation for me.

Lush's Butterball Bath Bomb, $5.50 (each)
Like the Tisty Toasty, I also bought two of these to put in bath as well. I like to put something buttery in my baths so my skin feels soft and smooth when I get out. So by having two bath bombs in it, it smells and good and does an amazing job at putting oils back into the skin.

label.m Honey & Oat Shampoo & Conditioner, $9.95 each (50mL)
These came in an amazing pack with a dry shampoo and sea salt spray, PERFECT for traveling, especially to a tropical climate like Bali. I decided to only pack the shampoo and conditioner because I knew I was going to need to wash my hair. As far as styling, I just had it up in a top-knot the entire time. The shampoo and conditioner is truly out of this world! I love label.m products, but I was yet to try this duo. I really loved it and will look into buying the full sizes when I finish these.
The label.m travel pack as well as full size are available from label.m stockists and TONI&GUY salons.

Brush
Of course, I had to pack a brush. Hair maintenance is a MUST! I bought thus one ages ago from Priceline.

Models Prefer Brow Liner in 'Dark', $9.99 - I didn't picture this because I was still using it right up til the day we flew out. After I filled my brows is I promptly put it in my toiletries bag.
Available from Priceline.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick, $28.00 - I packed this at the very last minute because it was my most reached for and the newest.

Lush's 'Honey, I Washed The Kids' soap - I thought I'd pack some soap because I didn't want to bring a body wash with me. This soap is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE - EVER! I took a very small piece because I knew I wasn't going to return to Australia with it.
Available from Lush by weight.
