What Does Casual and Comfy Mean To Me

One trend that had a major comeback last year was the sweatshirt and sweatpant set aka a SWEATSUIT. Well, not exactly a comeback but the sweatsuit/loungewear trend just resurfaced when comfort and casual was everyone's priority. When work from home and look presentable took over all #OOTD goals.

I was always on the fence about this sweatsui t trend as I always associated this with airport/travel style, until I caved in and decided to give it a shot, merely as it was everywhere. Every page I turned to, every blogger I followed was wearing it, the explore page was buzzing with #loungewear #sweatsuit ideas.

Truth be told, when I was scouting websites to order a sweatsuit, I looked for options that weren't as expensive, as I still wasn't sure of this trend. I wanted to try a sweatsuit but without spending more than $50 on a full set. This set from H&M ( pants sold out ) checked all the boxes- it came as a full set and after all the discounts I spent just under $50.

So, when the sweatsuit set arrived I needed to justify this purchase to self. I had to come up with different looks keeping the sweatsuit as my focal point. Honestly speaking, it was much harder than I thought. One, it was my first time wearing a full sweatsuit and two, the bagginess of the pieces was troubling. I am used to wearing more form-fitting clothing, so when my body met the bagginess- I was irritated.

But then I had resort to some self-convincing ' Sammy, this is a loungewear and loungewear means comfortable and roomy.' After a few outfit swaps, and a cluttered walk-in-closet, I was finally able to make peace and bring my A game on. Now that I've already broken the ice, it is safe to say that "I Love this casual, comfy, loungy style !"
