One of the very delicate wildflowers I photographed last summer at Glacier National Park was some Western Featherbells ( stenanthium occidentale ). Also known as Bronze Bells and Mountain Bells, these tiny members of the lily family can be found in the western United States and Canada.
The flowers, which are smaller than a dime, turn to one side and resemble a string of bells. The purple green flowers grow above narrow grass-like leaves.
