Inside the Baba Gulab Singh Ji Gurdwara, Naura
Today, my Dad and I spent the day at the village Gurdwara as the start of the Sangrand services to welcome the Sikh month of Phagan which falls on the 12th of February as per the Nanakshahi calendar.As per village tradition, our family volunteers our services to the gurdwara during the Sangrand for Phagan. Although my stepmother is no longer with us, my Dad and I are continuing the tradition. Normally, my stepmother would be supervising the entire family as to how things should go. This year we are on our own.
As the Sangrand services begin on today, the 10th of February, it ends with a Bhog (the ceremonial completion of an Akhand Path) on the 12th of February.
