Hello, my name is Reese and I’m still the editor of REESEATOMIC.COM.AU.
Apologies for the impromptu hiatus. What started off with a virus being planted on my blog – don’t ask me HOW – turned into the whole blog being deleted completely.
I had realised there was an issue when I couldn’t see my blog on my browser, but I could still log onto WordPress and write posts. I had taken it up briefly with my host, which they were unhelpful with, but by the time I had gotten home from work, every single last file had been erased. I didn’t even have a /cgi-bin folder that comes with every new blog, so it was quite clear that someone had tampered with my blog.
BUT… I’ve gotten into the habit of backing up files weekly and THANKFULLY not too much damage had been done. I still had every post, every image, every key stroke saved on my hard drive. The only annoying part of this is the minor details. The social media plugins, getting all the ads back up, syncing up Google Analytics and other small tweaks that consume so much time!
For now, I will be doing some work here and so if you see things change, that’s me working in the background.
