I came across this set of questions somewhere deep within the internet – seriously, I kept clicking things and these found me – so I thought it’d be rude not to do a tag! I know tag posts aren’t everyone’s cup of joe, but I quite enjoy them. They’re fun, easy to read and sometimes you find out some pretty bizarre stuff about the author…
1. Do you have a nickname that only your family use?
I’ve had some pretty weird nicknames over the years. I don’t even know where half of them came from! My Mum used to call me Pigeon, but it changed to Boo when Monsters Inc came out – I’m 22 and she still uses it. My Dad called me Sausage a lot; sometimes he still does. My Grandad called me Peanut and my Nan called me Kitten! I’ve kept cards where they used those names – so cute!
2. What’s a weird habit of yours?
I don’t know that I have a weird habit… mind you, you never think your own habits are weird do you!
3. Do you have any weird phobias?
I used to be super scared of clowns, but recently I’ve calmed down a lot; one can come on the TV and I won’t leave the room crying. I don’t really like pigeons (maybe it’s the nickname), but I wouldn’t say they’re a phobia. I’m not a fan of needles but I have several tattoos so I don’t think we can class that as a phobia either…
4. What song do you secretly love to blast out when your alone?
I’m not the kind of person to hide the fact that I like a corny/cheesy song – but I tend to only listen to songs from musicals when I’m alone.
5. What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?
We had this question in another tag I’ve done – NOT INDICATING AT ROUNDABOUTS! Ffs just twitch your finger and it flicks on, it’s really not hard.
6. What’s one of your nervous habits?
I bite all the skin off from the sides of my fingers near my nails and I also pull my ponytail round to the left and kind of hold it against my mouth… although sometimes I’m just sniffing the coconut body mist I sprayed in it.
7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
I sleep all over the place when I’m alone, but if I’m at my boyfriends I’ll sleep on the left 9 times out of 10.
8. What was your first stuffed animal and it’s name?
It was a silky feeling rabbit (doesn’t really look like a rabbit), and for some reason I couldn’t say ‘rabbit’ but I could say ‘Mummy Cubby’ – so that’s her name. AND I still have her sitting proudly on my bed! Actually, I have a version of her; my family had to keep sneakily replacing her when she became unfixable! I seriously took her EVERYWHERE.
9. What’s the drink you always order at Starbucks Costa?
Medium gingerbread latte with soy milk and an extra pump of syrup, thank you very much.
10. What’s a beauty rule you preach but never actually practice?
Oooh this is a good one! Don’t overpluck your eyebrows. But I do it anyway. I can’t stand trying to grow them out to reshape them! You’ll never see my without my eyebrows filled in. EVER.
11. Which way do you face in the shower?
I didn’t know this way a thing? I face all directions at some point…
12. Do you have any ‘weird’ body skills?
As a matter of fact I do! I can bend the very tip of my fingers which I think is a bit odd and I can move my knee caps. Yup. It’s not really a skill, it’s just my knees are fucked and my physiotherapist was crap so I stopped going. They’re painful on a daily basis and I should get them looked at as they’ve got worse, but it’s still funny to watch my Mum cringe when they slip about.
13. What’s your favorite ‘bad’ comfort food that you eat anyway?
Everything. Cake. Chocolate. Pasta. Pizza. I’d lay in a pile of warm laundry and eat warm bread all day every day if I could.
14. Whats a phrase or exclamation that you always say?
I don’t think I really have one… but if I’m stuttering and tripping over my words I’ll say FUCK IT pretty loud and then I can say whatever it is I wanted to say.
15. It’s time to sleep – what are you ACTUALLY wearing?
Whatever I pick up first usually. When it was colder I had some fleecey pj bottoms that I wore with a really soft minky type jumper, but now it’s a bit warmer I’ll wear anything – I wore my boyfriends football shorts last night and the night before I was wearing pink leopard print bottoms!
