"The Christmas memories you make this year will be the ones you remember in the years to come." ~ Toni Sorenson
NOTE: I spend my Wednesdays Unplugged from appointments. It's my day to stay home, enjoy cooking and welcome our kids and grandkids for dinner in the evening. We end our meal with quotes from the Norwegian 'Quote Cup' passed on to me from my grandmother. I share a quote and a recipe here each week, and sometimes some photos of family fun. I love trying new recipes...and love getting recipes you would like to share!
Our two granddaughters both had holiday performances this week... our 5-year-old in the rotunda of the Minneapolis County Courthouse and our 16-year-old at Hopkins high school, where her artwork was also on display. It's hard to believe Christmas is already here next week!
RECIPE OF THE WEEK
These deliciously colorful Grinch fruit kabobs were served at our Breakfast Club Christmas party a couple weeks ago. Not only do they make a great appetizer, they can also be great fun for kids to assemble.
GRINCH FRUIT KABOBS
- Mini marshmallows
- Strawberries, tops sliced off
- Banana, peeled and sliced
- Green grapes
- Big appetizer toothpicks
First wash and cut your fruit.
On each toothpick assemble your kabob as follows: one mini marshmallow, one strawberry, one banana slice and one green grape.
Enjoy!
