"Happiness is a direction, not a place." ~ Brian McLaren

NOTE: I spend my Wednesdays Unplugged from appointments. It's my day to stay home, enjoy cooking and welcome our kids and grandkids for dinner in the evening. We end our meal with quotes from the Norwegian 'Quote Cup' passed on to me from my grandmother. I share a quote and a recipe here each week, and sometimes some photos of family fun. I love trying new recipes...and love getting recipes you would like to share!

Begonia
As I was looking outside this morning while I was doing my exercises I marveled at how beautiful our dragon wing begonias are. I want to document it so I remember for next year! This is first time I have experienced this plant and it is perfect! When I bought them the guy at the nursery said once people buy them they keep coming back for them every year because they are both beautiful and indestructible... just what I need! He said you can water or not water and they still do well... he was right! Sweet Corn and More, I will be back for more next year!
RECIPE OF THE WEEK
I was searching for a poppy seed dressing this week and decided it would be good to have my three favorite recipes all in one place... so here they are!  One light oil and vinegar, one creamy, and one heavier oil and vinegar with stronger flavor and sesame seeds as well, designed for spinach but I also love it with romaine and peaches.
