We hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday. One thing we love about Easter is the symbolism of new beginnings. And with that, we too are moving into a new season in our lives.
Today we come to you with our very last blog post we will be posting here on this photography blog. And we wanted to explain why.
What a beautiful career Stephen and I have had the past 7 years as wedding and portrait photographers. Not only did our cameras bring our love together, we have been so blessed to travel the world through our cameras and get the honor of documenting other people’s greatest love and life stories. We have watched people fall in love, get married and have babies through our cameras. We have made beautiful ongoing friendships with clients, vendors and other photographers who have left such an impact in our lives that we are grateful for.
However, the time has come that we are now hanging up our cameras to pursue other adventures. We’ve fulfilled all our remaining shoots for the year and over time we have started taking on less shoots in hopes that we can now transition into pursuing other creative dreams that stir our hearts, as well as our hopes to soon start a family. Our priorities and goals in life have changed a lot in recent years, and while traveling the world with our cameras was a beautiful season for us as newlyweds, now we are choosing to step back from the busy lifestyle we had to keep up as photographers to put our energies into other priorities.
As we move into a new chapter, we have recently made the move from Nashville back to our hometown Jacksonville to be back closer to family who we missed so dearly while we were away. However, though we are now home in Jacksonville, we will no longer be accepting new shooting assignments, but we encourage you to inquire with our dear friend Chloe Austin in the Jacksonville area. Chloe once interned with us, and is an amazing girl who you can trust to document your memories in our place.
If you are a photographer, something that we put together for you as we bow out of the industry is an online e-course where we have shared with you all our secrets to success over the years that helped us to run a profitable full-time photography business. We encourage you to check it out at www.shoot2sale.com to learn more how to grow your business to the next level!
Lastly, I will always be a writer at heart…. I have been blogging long before I ever became a photographer, and I can’t imagine stopping now after photography…. My heart needs to write, like my lungs need to breathe, and because of it I will continue to post from time to time about inspiring life stories over on my personal blog at www.scarlettlillian.com. I will be taking a little bit of a quiet break from blogging for a while to refocus my creativity on other things currently stirring in my heart. But for those who have followed my writings from blog to blog over the years, I thank you for your continued virtual friendship and all the sweet comments you have left that touch my heart along the way. And I look forward to continuing our friendship and staying in touch with you over on my personal blog in the years to come!
Below is a collage of some of our favorite travels and adventures as our cameras led us around the world and back. Thank you to those who allowed us to follow our photography dreams and turn them into a beautiful and memorable reality. Truly. From the bottom of our hearts. We are grateful.
