“Love Jones” is based around an Eddie Kendricks sample that find the Temptations singer maneuvering smoothly through the twists and turns of contemporary house music. Wayward aren’t afraid to throw some curveballs your way, and “Love Jones” leaps between various rhythmic insistences without so much as batting an eye. Wayward manage to keep things under control, and “Love Jones” plays out like a smooth sip of fresh coffee before you head out to work.
