I only wore drugstore cosmetics for YEARS, because I really couldn’t afford anything else. As I have recently rediscovered my love for VARIETY of makeup, I find myself gravitating to the Prestige side of ULTA & wandering into Sephora more & more. **Shakes fist at Instagram!!** As I’m discovering amazingly beautiful products with beautiful finishes, packaging & quality, I find myself hyperventilating over the price tags that come with so much beauty. What’s a girl to do when you have Champagne taste on a Beer cosmetic budget? Here are some tips I have learned over the last year that have allowed me to purchase those drool worthy products without breaking the bank.

Rewards Programs
Make sure you sign up for the rewards programs at ULTA & Sephora. You often receive Prestige sampler packs on your birthday, so you can try Prestige goodies for FREE. At ULTA, even if you are shopping solely in the drugstore section, you would be amazed at how quickly your spending turns into rewards for you to enjoy. Occasionally, I receive a 20% off of your entire purchase coupon that INCLUDES Prestige brands. I often wait to splurge on a Palette I have been drooling over when I get that one. Also, your points can be cashed in for $$ off of your purchase or redeemed for gift sets. You can sign up for the rewards programs here: ULTA // Sephora
HSN/QVC
I’m noticing sales on these sites more & more. Quite frequently they will have Prestige sales with free shipping and a certain amount off of your purchase. That Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette you see? I bought that for $29 because they had a $20 off coupon code + free shipping a while back. It’s normally $49! Here are a few of the great deals they have right now: Too Faced Perfect Neutrals Melted Lip Trio // LORAC Red Carpet PRO Collection // BECCA Complexion Creme & Skin Perfecting Discovery Sample
Emails
I know, I know, who needs MORE email? A lot of the companies offer 10-15% off coupon codes just for subscribing to their emails. Also, a few times a year most of the brands will run a “Friends & Family” type sale where you can save usually 30% & a lot of times they pair free shipping &/or gifts with purchases as well. Love a ton of brands but don’t want to get a ton of emails mixed in with your important email? I highly recommend creating an account specifically for the “fun stuff”. That way you don’t miss a deal like this one: Tarte Friends & Family Sale
ipsy
{Affiliate Link}
I’m sure by now you have heard of ipsy. I really do love the service. While I have had some duds from time to time I still think this is a crazy affordable way to test out Prestige brands. I have received Urban Decay, bareMinerals, Smashbox, GlamGlow, & butter LONDON just to name a few. You’re seriously talking around $2 to try a Prestige brand! Can’t beat it! Plus, they usually partner with the brands that month to offer a discounted bundle. This month’s offer is the bareMinerals Fabulous in a Flash Set which gets you a $36 bundle for $22 WITH free shipping.
Haute Look
{Affiliate Link}
You can not only find great deals on clothes, accessories & housewares on Haute Look, but you can find great deals on Prestige brands! I’ve seen Too Faced, Laura Geller, Lorac, Stila, theBalm, Urban Decay, Whitening Lightening/Gerard Cosmetics plus Crown Brushes for sale at great prices. The only downside, they get snatched up CRAZY quick, so you have to be on top of your game & pray for a a quick internet connection.
TJ Maxx/Marshalls
I know it can be a madhouse at times, but it pays to go through the cosmetics at TJ Maxx & Marshalls. You seriously never know what kind of treasures you are going to find!
Cosmetics Company Outlet {CCO}
I LOVE CCO! You can find amazing finds from Clinique, Estee Lauder, MAC, Smashbox & many more for an average of $10 cheaper per product. I think my all time favorite feature is that you can get those limited edition holiday/gift sets for a steal. Sometimes you can find the coveted limited edition cult products that have been discounted as well. You can find a list of CCO’s here.
