The trailer for Indian – German drama film Qissa with a tag line The Tale Of A Lonely Ghost has gone online. The project is directed by Geneva based Anup Singh, who has also extended his hand on script writing along with Madhuja Mukherjee. Music is given by Beatrice Thiriet and Manish J Tipu.
The film stars Irrfan Khan, Tisca Chopra, Tillotama Shome, Rasika Dugal, Faezeh Jalali and Sonia Bindra.
The movie has been screened at various film festivals including Toronto International Film Festival, Abu Dhabi International Film Festival, Mumbai Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam and Curacao International Film Festival.
The film has won the Netpac Award for World or International Asian Film in the Contemporary World Cinema Section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
Qissa will hit the silver screens on 20th of February.

Plot:
Set in post-colonial India, QISSA tells the story of Umber Singh, a Sikh, who is forced to flee his village due to ethnic cleansing at the time of partition in 1947. Umber decides to fight fate and builds a new home for his family. When Umber marries his youngest child Kanwar to Neeli, a girl of lower caste, the family is faced with the truth of their identities; where individual ambitions and destinies collide in a struggle with eternity.
