Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the trailer for the action-fantasy film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. The project is directed by Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid) and scripted by Jessica Postigo, I. Marlene King. It is produced by Don Carmody and Robert Kulzer.
The movie is based on Cassandra Clare’s book of the same name and stars Lily Collins, Jaime Campbell Bower, Jemima West, Robert Sheehan, Kevin Segers, Robert Maillet, Kevin Durand, Lena Headey, Jared Harris, Godfrey Gao, Aidan Turner, CCH Pounder and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
The drama movie The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones opens in theatres on August 23rd, 2013.

Plot:
Clary Fray (Portrayed by Lily Collins), a teenage girl discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother, Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
