The other room we want to warm up is our living room. Our window sill always look very dull and cold. I have warmed up this area by adding a mini Christmas tree with golden pot (£3) with candles and other decoration. I bought this white bulb low voltage LED lights (£8) from B&Q and placed them inside the fish bowl. It creates a festive warm feeling and adds a WOW factor to the room.
The last thing I did was to purchase two rolls of radiator reflector foil (£7.50 each). Remember to turn off the radiator/boiler before you do this in case the radiator is hot. Have your scissors and glue ready. Measure the width and length of the radiator removing from the wall. Cut the foil to fit. Then apply glue to the polystyrene back. I used the no nail glue. It is suggested to use any non solvent adhesive that is suitable for polystyrene. Wallpaper paste should work too! Apply the foil onto the wall and use a roller to flatten any air bubbles. Next put back the radiator! Job done.
So what do you think of my transformation? Do you like it? Disclosure: I have received compensation to do this challenge.
