Now ordinarily I don't bother putting his clothes away. I usually just separate them out and leave them on the bed so he can do it himself; after all he is a modern man (If anything he's actually more domesticated than I, most of the time). That being said, I am wondering if on some subconscious level I avoid putting his clothes away because I can't cope with what hides behind the doors of his side of the wardrobe?!
Any way I decided to be a nice girlfriend on this occasion and put all the stuff away. I opened the doors and was confronted by this version of hell ..........
Can you see it?? Yep that's right, coat hangers all criss-crossed, on top and intertwined with each other!! Aaaaaarrrrgh!! If that wasn't bad enough the fact that Eddies side of the wardrobe follows no logical order, he basically just puts said garments on a coat hanger and shoves them on the rail wherever and however.... no order, no organisation, no harmony!! WTF??!!
Now admittedly it doesn't take much to drive me insane. It's often a daily occurance that something trivial irks me and calls for a "woooooosah" moment. So after a few moments of skitzing out and asking why oh why?? It got me thinking is organising your wardrobe a normal thing to do?? Is it more of a female thing?? Or is it just me and my OCD-ish traits??
I couldn't cope if my side of the wardrobe looked liked his. I'd sit at home constantly distracted by the fact that things weren't right. Oddly this crazy obsessive behavior only applies to my wardrobe not really to the rest of my domestic life. (With the exception of bookshelves, so I have just been told!! And I am going to have to agree on that one).
Going back to the wardrobe saga, I require order and organisation in there to the point where everything has to face the correct way [to the left], clothing goes in a specific order (probably not one that would make sense to most people but works for me). For example the rail below begins with vests, then plain t-shirts, followed by printed t-shirts through to shirts. With the most important aspect being that the coat hangers don't cross one another either!!
Does anyone else agree with me?? Is my need for order and organisation in my wardrobe an idiosyncratic quirk or is just another example of my crazy obsessive behaviour??
I would love to know your experiences of wardrobe etiquette, do you drive your partner mad?? Or could you not care less how your wardrobe looks as long as your clothes aren't on the floor??
BTW - I did reorganise Eddie's side of the wardrobe; thus restoring order and bringing calm to my life once again!! hahaha!!
