VOV Steady Color Lipstick in No 7 - VOGUE NOBLE

Hi girls,
I love lipsticks and lip products!! No prize for guessing that right. I have been collecting them from years. I not only buy lipsticks which are popular but also those unheard brands which are sold at my local beauty store. From the experiences I have had and women I have met and spoken to most of them would want make up which is affordable and not expensive. People do not go beyond Lakme which sadly is almost a luxury brand seeing their recent prices currently. Anyhow coming to the point my today's review is of a lipstick from VOV I found at my local beauty shop. Well yes they have a whole counter which sells foundation, concealer, blush etc. On one of my visits I just wanted to try these so I picked one. It is called VOV Steady Color Lipstick in no.7 - VOGUE NOBLE Well what I think of it let us read in the review below...

Price: Do not remember may be around 120 bucks.

Quantity: 3.4g

The packaging is lovely and classy. It has a metallic body and the inside is made of plastic. The color of the body is a nice muted silver and the inside is black. The cap shuts well and you can easily travel with it although it does not click lock. The packaging is very unique and lovely in my opinion.

The description says VOV steady color lipstick with Vitamin E Water Microspheres. Ok now I would say that these are water based lipstick by which I mean that they are very smooth, buttery  and light weight on the lips and hence  glide like a dream on the lips. This lipstick reminds me of the Maybelline Water Shine Lipsticks which have been discontinued.The shade is a lovely pink with tonnes of golden shimmer to it which is not chunky and when the light hits the lips it gives a lovely 3D effect to the lips. On my pigmented lips it does give a decent coverage, of course one swipe is not enough and it has to be layered on. It is very moisturizing and buttery and looks very nice with smokey eyes or any kind of intense eye look. I like this lipstick but the thing that puts me off is that all the glitter gets out of the lips once you take it off. Hence this is not for those who do not like glitter, shimmer in their lipsticks. Also due to the formula the staying power is average. It does leave only shimmer on your lips once it fades away.

Affordable.
Moisturizing.
Gives a lovely 3D effect to the lips.
Travel friendly packaging.

The not so Good:

Availability is a major issue.
Shimmer may not be liked by many.
Not opaque enough.
Lasting power is poor.
Ingredient list missing.

Overall this is a pretty lipstick with tonnes of shimmer. This will not be a repurchase for me as I had got it to try something different and out of curioisty.
