Vintage Tea Party & Pom Poms

By Leavesandstems @leavesandstems
My vision for the latest window display at the Florist was: Vintage Tea Party & Pom Poms -
I started by covering the floor in Autumn Leaves, tiny Japanese maple leaves from Lizs' front garden.... I recycled an old lace curtain to create a lace tablecloth, added Budding Magnolia Branches, picked up some gorgeous Vintage Teacups from the local City Mission store and finished with Artificial Peony Roses, Bird cages, crystal birds and of course - Pom Poms.
The light you can see was a paper lamp from Ikea, the shade had been torn so I placed the base into some floral foam, arranged a "cage" from bare poplar branches and disguised the base using some of the autumn leaves and weeping birch!
With big Love & Thanks to my gorgeous friend Natalie for teaching me how to make Pom Poms! I used recycled white tissue paper & recycled brown Kraft paper to make these for the window display. You can check out Natalies' Pretty Pretty Pom Pom Tutorial here and make your own at home! We have a Pom-Pom project in the making for the next window display - stay tuned!
