Vintage Styled, Relaxed and Beautiful Hurst House Wedding: Part One

By Claire

A wedding day in a Grade II listed hotel on the Southern coast of Wales. Hurst House is an elegant, stylish hotel full of traditional decor, with 17 rooms for wedding guests and you’ll get a real sense of the atmosphere of the place from Joseph Yarrow‘s photographs from the day.

Joseph is a photographer I always admire. His images are the perfect combination of artistry and documentary style, with detail photos that draw you inside… I love the first images, approaching Hurst House – it’s like you’re there.

Then we meet bride Amy, who is beautiful – I’d say effortlessly beautiful, to mean she has a radiance that’s nothing to do with her wedding day, although you’ll swoon when you see her vintage wedding dress and veil. Amy’s dad is a big part of the wedding day, and of course groom Ben – aptly described (along with Amy) by Joseph as “insanely good looking”!

I’ll waffle no more – or only to say that this will be a wedding blog in two parts. Don’t forget to come back for more tomorrow!

Dad plays a huge part in this wedding day. This picture says it all. Dads are special.

Now you see what I mean by “effortlessly beautiful”… Amy is sooo pretty.

A fit of giggles fills the entire room as the marriage ceremony gets started!

One of the best characters in this wedding day (and rabbit)

The detailing on Amy’s wedding dress is lovely. It’s the perfect dress for her, a lovely vintage style with embroidery.

Gorgeous photo of a cello (or double bass, or maybe violin…)

And as the party gets started I’ll leave you for now and write up part two. Pop back tomorrow for more!

More rabbit, more smiles and hugs, more adorable kiddies enjoying the day. More beautiful shots of Amy and much more of Ben (who I’ve been hiding, it would seem!)

And more of Joseph Yarrow’s stunning wedding photography too. In the meantime, check out his wedding photography blog and official website at www.josephyarrow.com
