Illustrated Wedding Invitations

By Claire

I would like to introduce the readers of the English Wedding blog to two of my illustrated wedding invitation and stationery collections.  They’re called The Way to Go and Bunting!  The designs are both made to look like a painted or drawn illustration, though most of the work is done on a computer but recreates the effect of watercolour, pencil and chalk.  This allows for the level of customisation my bespoke stationery collections require so they can be made unique for each client.  Illustration is great for making a wedding invitation look more personal and unique.

Illustrated Wedding Invitations and Stationery collections:

Bunting!

I think the exclamation mark in the name is important as there is lots of bunting stationery out there and I needed to make mine exciting!  Flags can be illustrated plain or with dots, stripes, gingham, damask, letters, hearts and even national flags.  That’s on top of the complete customisable colours that all my bespoke wedding stationery ranges feature.

Bunting! Magnet Save the Date

Bunting! Magnet Save the Date

Bunting! is shown here as a magnetic Save the Date.  It is double sided so you can have the design on one side and information on the other while the magnet sits neatly in the middle.  This shows hearts and letters on the bunting as does the example wallet invitation.  Both the wallet and the invite are made to order. Plain wallets can also be made from coloured card.

The last Bunting! image below shows a place name done with a stylish font and dots on the flags.  (And yes, I did use a clothes line for some of these pictures.  It seemed appropriate.)

The Way to Gois a wedding invitation based on country lanes.  The sign in the background can have the text customised to make it more personal for you, perhaps with the places you came from or other important locations in your lives.  There’s also a wedding sign which along with the flowers can be coordinated to any colours required while the sign’s text can also be styled and adapted.

The photos here show an example of The Way to Go as a wallet invitation and the very similar mounted version of the A5 invitation.  They don’t come with a wallet and are larger in size.  We also have a stretched canvas welcome sign.  I was very proud of the design when I saw how it looked in this format.
