Well, mes amies, it looks like I am going to have to take a break for a while. You may recall the other day I mentioned we were having internet issues. Those are mostly resolved except every other day I have to unplug the modem and router, replug them back in before my laptop will pick up the WiFi signal in the home. Then on top of that “bother”, my laptop seems to be either finally dying (6-7yrs old) OR there is a problem with just the monitor (again…this was replaced last year). So to the computer doctor it will go so I can figure out if it is worth saving or if it is time to bite the bullet and buy a new one…WHICH I REALLY DON’T WANT TO DO especially after reading Juhli’s recent posts on her upgrade. I really struggle with “liking” technology and in my book it is barely more than a necessary evil. Between cell phones, computers, internet service, etc, it feels like we are always doling out money for something that is suddenly “outdated”. I am going on vacation next week anyway so hopefully this can all be resolved while I play in the waves.
I would continue to post via my husband’s computer (which I am using now) but I really don’t like it. Even WordPress doesn’t work the same on it and I don’t get why that is. AND I can not upload new photos to his computer because the SD card drive doesn’t work. I might be able to hook up the external hard drive to get (old) pictures but I haven’t tried that yet. None of this even matters because my husband’s work environment stresses me out–I can’t blog here, I really can’t.
Alors, a bientot! Hopefully I will be back up and running by the middle of August. Until then I will leave you with a few shots I took on a recent road trip that I want to tell you about later:
