This batch of Vinn Rice Whiskey is the 2017 release and it’s been aged a bit longer than the previous batch of Vinn I reviewed. It’s still the same 100% Rice mash, it still started as a Baijiu and it was still aged in an Alligator char level barrel.
In Vinn’s Words: Vinn Rice Whiskey
“Vinn Whiskey is the first rice whiskey produced and bottled in the USA. Aged in American oak barrels, char #4, our whiskey is well-balanced, with malty and creamy notes that lightly tickle the top of the palate.”
Pretty simple stuff… let’s get on with the updated Vinn Rice Whiskey review!

OVERALL
Vinn Rice Whiskey is kind of odd, kind of good and completely interesting. I reviewed a slightly younger batch over a year ago and in some ways I liked it more than I like this one. But in someways I like this one more than the first one and if I had more of the first batch left I’d mix them together and see how they work.
The aroma of this one is sweet, grainy and spicy and the palate is cocoa, farmy and woody. If you can try the Vinn Rice Whiskey I recommend it. It’s different, it’s interesting and it works well in cocktails.
SCORE: 84/100 (B)
