Vikings got the Season Pass award from me last night

As soon as I was done dealing with my 11 year old and all of his drama, I settled in and caught up on Vikings from Sunday night, aka...Game of Thrones lite.  Lots of similarities but lots of differences too. (not as violent, way less sex, no nudity at all and the need for Rick Baker during beheading scenes). I'm not exactly sure where these people live, I'm guessing Norway, Sweden or Denmark, wherever Vikings lived back in the day. Anyway, Gabriele Byrne rules the land and always has his people raiding lands to the east, but there are these 2 hot brothers, with their own ideas. Super hot Ragnar and his not quite as hot brother Rollo want to sail to the west to find treasures and riches using this sun dial looking thing that some wanderer (or wonderer) gave them.  So they get this wacky looking freak named Floki to build them a ship.  Of course it all has to be on the downlow or Gabriele Byrne and his minions will try to stop them and kill them since they are going against his rules. Super hot Ragnar is married to this amazing woman who is great with a sword (you can take that any way you want).  They have a son with a weird viking hairdo and a cute daughter.  Ragnar's not quite as hot bro, has a thing for wifey and maybe a history, but we're not sure yet. The show is pretty good and I did give it the season pass award, I just wish it wasn't on Sunday's especially once Game of Thrones starts.

The women of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were still in Paris this week.  They were wandering around shopping and sightseeing in the highest heels possible. If you've ever been to Paris, you'd know this makes no sense at all.  Yolanda and Brandi were running along the Seine, stopping to do cartwheels and talk about the last time they were both there. Kyle and Mauricio walked along the bridge with the locks of love and of course Mauricio had a lock in his pocket just for the occasion.  (I'm guessing that the Bravo production assistant took care of making that happen, no way he thought of it on his own.)  Kim was acting weird again, showing up super late to everything, hysterical crying fits, and not making much sense, but who knew Brandi would be the reasonable one here. She stuck up for Kim and for Lisa.  The women decided to take a cooking class and wore very fancy white outfits for the occasion.  They were able to find the only chef in France without a French accent to teach them to cook.  The entree of choice was duck and this guy expected these women to chop the duck heads off themselves.  Not a chance dude, they waited outside and gossiped while the chef did the honors. After dinner, more shopping and a visit to the Eiffel Tower where Kyle and Lisa had it out until Lisa proclaimed her love for Kyle and they kissed and made up.

I had no idea that Rules of Engagement's Jeff and Audrey were Syracuse Orangemen.  This week they went upstate to visit with their college friends, but when they got there ready to party and throwdown some shots, the guys wanted to eat healthy, talk about their kids and go to bed early which freaked Jeff out.  So much so that Audrey had to cheer him up by becoming his wingman.  Needless to say the next morning wasn't pretty for Audrey at all.  They better think of something for Adam and Jen to do other than one ridiculous thing after another.  This week, Adam got a bird (I hate birds) named Mambo and was trying to teach it a trick that it could do in a video so that he could become famous on the Internet.  If I'm Jen, I'm returning the ring and getting the F outta there at this point.  No way this guy is the father of my children and supporting me forever.  Timmy gets Russell to help him out at an assisted living facility which was hilarious and wildly inappropriate as I'm sure you can imagine.  One of the better lines of the night that came out of Russell's mouth "I can't believe I'm wasting my rap on Oldie Hawn" even funnier since Oliver Hudson is Goldie's son.
News & Information
-Sunday night, History channel rule the night with the premiere of The Bible and Vikings.  The Bible delivered 13.1 million viewers making it the #1 cable show of the year.  With such a strong lead in, Vikings delivered 6.2 million viewers during its debut.
-FOX gave The Following, New Girl and The Mindy Project renewals for another season. I'm actually a bit surprised about The Mindy Project, but completely figured that The Following and New Girl would get the green light.
-News Corp. and Disney are currently in negotiations that could result in one of the two acquiring a majority stake in Hulu. Right now, they each own a one-third stake in the company with Comcast owning a minority piece. News Corp. and Disney could sell Hulu outright or change the business model altogether. It seems that Disney's more interested in an ad-centric business model for Hulu, while News Corp. prefers the subscription-based track. -Check out MTV tonight at 7:58pm for the MTV Movie Award Nominations Spectacular.  While the nominations will start out on air they will quickly move to MTV.com and then immediately after the announcement, voting will be open.  The show airs on Sunday 4/14.
Tuesday's Trivia Question: What bank do Barney and Marshall both work for on How I Met Your Mother?  (Ted worked their too at one point).
