Fans of HBO’s True Blood and Portland’s electro-pop duo Priory are in for a treat with the following video clip. Weekend is the latest clip released by this band and includes Bailey Noble (who played Adilyn, the fairy daughter of Andy Bellefleur in True Blood) playing the part of a roller rink teen. Nick Krause (The Descendants) is dreaming about winning over Bailey’s affections via his slick roller skating moves – even if those moves only occur in his mind.
Recently, Priory’s Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears discussed the video clip with Idolator and had this to say about it:
We wrote and recorded the song ‘Weekend’ at our homebase, Loudwar studios in Portland, Oregon. The song idea came from the notion that everyone feels oppressed by an authority figure at some point in life. It could be a controlling parental figure, a boss at work or the unrealistic standard forced upon us by western culture. We use escapism to feel empowered (for better or worse), and it’s always been a part of our life. The video for ‘Weekend’ was directed by our friend, David Vincent Wolf AKA White Ghandi, and is about a kid’s over the top daydream. We had a great time hanging with Nick Krause and Bailey Noble. There was definitely some chemistry on set, just saying.
