A'up ducks! It's finally arrived! Victoria Secret finally opened in Trinity Leeds last week! EXCITEMENT! & imagine how extra excited I was when on the wednesday I found out that for an exclusive 3 hours, the doors would be opening for ticket holders only, the night before its official opening! & then picture my little chubby excited mush when I was also told Mango had been handed a bunch of invites for all its staff - HOLY COW! & then bitter disappointment when we realised someone had misplaced them/possibly thrown them away.. Like.. I can't even describe how distressed I was, & not just me, but several lovely ladies I work with too. Not to worry though, at clocking off time myself & my fellow little scouse mouse Louise ventured out into Trinity on a scavenger hunt for spare tickets from other stores. As you can probably guess from the photos, I found some invites! Hallelujah! So myself & my friend Jess shimmied our way to Trinity to get a good look at the new store. So, after we handed in our invites & shimmied excitedly into the dimly lit store, I was immediately blown away with the layout, each room is just amazing, cushioned wall boxes for dressed mannequins, large feathered wings adorned many of the mannequin displays along with table upon table of lace panties. But when I say 'dimly lit', I mean it in a sultry boudoir sort of way, not like this bulls**t Hollister lighting which causes numpties like myself to walk into mirrors! - No, the Victoria Secret stores have enough lighting to avoid accidents however it really adds to the atmosphere.
As you can probably guess from my awe stricken description above, I've never actually been in a Victoria Secret store before, so everything was very new to me. I worked previously in La Senza & the difference in quality of product and store visual merchandising is staggering. I honestly was blown away by how pretty & inviting everything was (until I looked at the price tags) - £12 for 1 pair of lace panties, Jesus you're having a giraffe mate!
However I did buy a few bits, after finding out I was 3 sizes too busty for their bras (& very sad about this fact!) I continued to browse the beauty products like any blogger would & fell in love with their mango range & the seduction gift bag. (plus if you bought anything on the night you received a tote bag worth £70 - woohoo) I spent £20 on the smelly set & the following day returned to get some boyfriend style sweatpants from their Pink range.
The pink section is like walking into a completely different shop too! I was just adjusting to the dimmed lights as I stepping through into the brightness of Pink, although I doubt even dim lighting could make sweatpants & sports bras look sexy.
So other than my disappointment over bra sizing, I really enjoyed seeing the new store & having the chance to browse it before it got a little crazy on the actual opening day!
Do you own anything from Victoria Secret fragrance range?
& has anyone else had size issues with their bras?
