Victims of the New Math is composed of the singer-songwriter team of Thomas and Joe Young, two brothers who’ve been rocking since the 80’s. Their new album, Satellite Head, delivers tight, riff driven melodic rock with a raw edge. It’s a modern, lo-fi take on classic rock – guitars, keyboards, synths… with the occasional trumpet thrown in for good measure. The lead single, “Brand New Day,” is a bright, optimistic rock song that pushes forward hopefully while acknowledging the past hasn’t always been so pleasant. It’s a fun melody, a funky chord progression, and a lo-fi rumbling rhythm.
