Veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra has passed away at the age of 80. He was reported to have contracted dengue fever almost a week ago and was admitted to Lilavati Hospital Mumbai. He has survived a wife and two sons Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra. Yash Chopra was born in Lahore in 1927 and had special love for the country.
Another legendary character in Bollywood broke news of his death on twitter.
“Heartbreaking news Yash Chopra passes away!” Mahesh Bhat tweeted.
Chopra’s Bollywood career spanned over five decades over which he produced many classics. His latest film “Jab Tak Ha Jan” is scheduled to release on November 13 this year. He produced many classics that included love epics like ‘Silsila’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and ‘Veer Zaara’.
